Further to the AGM on the 3rd of September I wanted to update you on the set up of the Committee for the coming year.
I, Emma Sparks, have stepped up to take on the Acting Interim Chair taking more of an administrative and co-ordinator role for the season.
I will be supported by Paul Brotherton and Peter McCormack who have both taken on the roles of Vice Chair, helping to support me and keep me on track. Their strengths in strategy and redevelopment being key at this time.
Mike Laughton has been co-opted as Treasurer, mainly in a bookkeeping capacity and reporting to us on a frequent basis.
Mark Taylor has taken on the Membership Secretary role.
Marc Thomas and Jon Blain remain in their position as Membership Liaison Officers as they continue with all the good intentions that they had in hand prior to Covid-19 earlier this year.
Sally Harris brings to the Committee her knowledge of the Community in Twerton as we look to some of the Community initiatives.
Stuart Page brings to the Committee this season his knowledge and understanding of financial applications and support of other sporting initiatives.
Ken Loach brings with him his extensive historical knowledge and passion for the club and interest in the current ongoing redevelopment and the impact it will have in the longevity of the Club.
Shane Morgan continues to be not only our Board representative but also brings to the committee his extensive knowledge of the workings of the Club and the current Covid-19 restrictions in place.
The role of the SLO will be going out for elections again as Tom Mears, appointed at the AGM, has since stepped down from the role. Martin Powell will be your point of contact in the interim few weeks while we set up the nomination process and encourage ALL of you to consider yourself for the role.
We will all be working hard to act on behalf of you the members and to keep you all updated in particular as best we can with regards to the redevelopment.
