This also means that six spots will be up for election on the Society Committee. We warmly encourage members to have a think about standing when the nominations open up on 21 April.
It’s a pivotal time for the Club’s future, so we are in need of people with the skills, initiative and commitment to offer constructive feedback on the Club’s plans and performance, while also making sure that members are properly represented. We also strongly encourage nominations that will increase the Committee’s diversity and bring new perspectives to our work.
If you’d like to learn more about the role before deciding whether to put yourself forward, please contact our Election Officer Paul Brotherton at [email protected]. You can also learn more about the current Society Committee members here. And if you know someone who would be great for the role but isn’t a member, please make sure they join by 21 April so that they will be eligible to stand.
There will also be a chance to stand for election to the Club Board and to submit motions for debate - details will follow soon.
