Latest Volunteer Roles
Matchday TeamMatch Day Returns Assistant (Matchday role)
We are looking for a numerate, spreadsheet-savvy and trustworthy volunteer to assist Andrew Pierce with matchday returns. This means checking turnstile operators' cash against their return sheets, checking programme sale returns and generally helping compile the final figures for both the attendance and gate receipts. The hours are 2pm-4pm for Saturday home games and 7pm to 8.30pm for Tuesday evening games (i.e. you would miss the first half). Full training provided. Groundskeeper assistants (Matchday role)
Andrew Pierce could do with some help tending to our beautiful grass pitch. Help is needed before matches (from 2pm), at half time and after the match (till 6pm) replacing divots after the warm-ups, match etc, as well as on Sunday mornings after matches. The amount of work this involves is purely down to weather conditions. Ideally it would be 2 people of reasonable fitness and be prepared to be out in all weathers. Also ideally it would be the same people to provide consistency. A potential advantage to any volunteer is that if they were looking to do groundwork as a career it would be a useful look into what it involves in putting on a game, and look good on a CV. Turnstile Operators (Matchday role)
Clanking through the turnstiles is one of the classic simple pleasures of non-league football at Twerton Park. We have a great team of turnstile operators but they are badly stretched. We really need to get a few more reserves trained up who could stand in if required for occasional big matches. Turnstile operators will have to be at the ground an hour before kickoff and will miss the first 15 minutes of the match. You'll need to be good at mental arithmetic, good with customer relations and comfortable with handling cash. Volunteer Greeters (Matchday role)
The club is looking for volunteers to greet first-time visitors to Twerton Park before kickoff on matchdays, answering basic questions and giving directions to the club office, club shop, Charlie's etc. You would not miss any of the match! Please contact [email protected] for more details if you are interested. Clean-up Crew (Matchday role)
We could use a few dedicated supporters to roll their sleeves up before and/or after matches to give the place a bit of a sweep and make it presentable. You don't have to commit to doing it every match. If interested, please contact [email protected]. Car park support (Matchday role)
Phil Weaver could use occasional support on matchdays running the car park. Full training provided. Please contact [email protected] for more details if you are able to occasionally assist in the car park before matches. |
Non-matchday rolesVolunteer Officer
The club is looking for a Volunteer Officer to promote volunteering opportunities, proactively recruit volunteers and help match volunteers to the right roles within the club. Please click here for a full role description and get in touch via [email protected] for a chat. (Please note that the Volunteer Officer is not expected to manage the day-to-day activities of volunteers.) Poster Co-ordinator
Matchday posters and flyers currently appear in over 100 shops, cafes, pubs and businesses in Bath, raising awareness of the Club and driving people through the turnstiles. The Club now needs a new volunteer to co-ordinate the production and distribution of posters and flyers, liaising with the designers and printers and getting posters in the hands of volunteer distributors. This task will take up 1-2 hours a month, during the season. A full list of existing poster sites and volunteer contact details will be provided. Please get in touch at [email protected] if you are interested. Poster and Flyer Distributors
Do you have an hour to spare once or twice a month to distribute posters and flyers around town? A route map (see here) and list of businesses that accept posters/flyers will be provided, and the posters will be posted to your address. You can sign up for a regular shift or just as a one-off - please email [email protected]. Commercial Working Group members
We're looking for people with business and commercial experience to help make Bath City FC stronger off the pitch. If you have relevant experience in helping businesses set goals and hit targets, we would greatly value your input and support. Our aim is to make the best possible use of the talents, skills and networks of our members, supporters and well-wishers, with the goal of making Bath City FC financially sustainable. Volunteer Marketing Assistants
Volunteer marketing assistants required to provide support to the club's management in all operational and commercial aspects: from marketing support to PA duties, research projects to commercial follow-ups, event planning to practical hands-on stuff. This role would mostly involve working from Twerton Park although there is flexibility around hours and location. Applications will be considered at any time. For more details, email [email protected]. Venue Marketing Support
Twerton Park is Bath City FC's most valuable commercial asset, but only if it is used 365 days a year. We need support, either on an ongoing or project-by-project basis, to market Twerton Park as a venue for weddings, wakes, birthday parties, music events, boxing, daytime office and meeting space, anything and everything to keep the place full, buzzing and profitable all year round. If you can help, please email [email protected]. Copywriting support (ad hoc)
The Board, GM, working groups and Communications Manager could use some ad hoc support with copywriting tasks, such as press releases, brochures and contributions to the programme and external publications, etc. Please contact [email protected] for more details if you are interested. HR advice and support (ad hoc)
The Board and the General Manager would benefit from the advice and support of a professional HR specialist on all HR matters, including documentation, processes and policies. Please get in touch if you are able to offer ad hoc, flexible support - email [email protected]. |

- The club board creates and disbands working groups, sets their remits and appoints and removes their coordinators.
Policy on Volunteer Club Officials
